Since 1855, Chateau La Tour Carnet has been classified as the Fourth Growth Grand Cru fine wine according to the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification 1855, which was requested by the Emperor Napoleon III in hope to show off the best wines from Bordeaux to the visitors from all over the World in Paris Expo.

A linear and pretty wine with plenty of blackberry aromas and flavors to complement a tight and chewy tannin structure. Medium to full body and a bright finish. More structured than the 2015. James Suckling 92-93

Straight from the first nose we feel the extraction, the drama, the confidence. This is clean and crisp through the mid-palate, with crushed blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate and tobacco notes. A strong showing from La Tour Carnet, there is no doubt you are in Magrez territory, but he is delivering on his signature with a flourish. It's a good wine, and tasted even better second time around at the UGCs. Decanter 92
